I go for walks each day, I put your content on auto play when I leave. I also move the posts to Telegram when they drop. I appreciate your content even though I am a bit of a Luddite. Hi, new patron here. I do hope that you can make something of this 'investment' you're going to be pulling in, and I find it unfortunate that just half a decade ago, that distasteful content you mentioned was not the meta. However, you're going to need more streams of income- I don't think you were entirely right to shame sponsorship deals per se. After all, not all people/creators are susceptible to greed- though I suppose most would perceive it that way. However, as i saw Roger (creator of Tor) mention on irc a bit ago, things like anonymity and trust require transparency. Why not strike a middle ground, and try to be a transparent as possible about the details of sponsorship deals? Just a thought.

I generally view other centralized platforms as not viable. The problem with YT is that it's centralized and you don't have your audience. YouTube does. With Rumble, it's the same. Odysee is decentralized, but only in terms of the content. The audience has to be delivered by apps built on top of the blockchain. No solution is really ideal. There are pretty significant drawbacks with many of them which makes ditching YouTube that much more difficult. But trust me. It is in my plans. It's just not as easy as many people think if you want to do it right.

I know you said "Going to another platform isn't the plan" but if you already make the videos and post them on something like rumble.com that claims to have a less restrictive algorithm you might be able to have a larger audience and then refer them back to patreon to support your work. You already make the videos so it should just be the bandwidth to upload. Just a thought!

I've been too serious in my videos because I wanted people to take the issues seriously. But the execution wasn't that great. I think it would be better to have more fun. Even at the expense of my dwindling to will to exist. Speaking of YouTube prostitution - I understand people want to make money and I am not against that. Just the sheer volume of ads and sponsors in people's content is what bothers me. Everything has to be an ad and rarely is anything genuine. In my ideal, I want to stay completely free of all corporate influence. I would turn off YouTube ads with a strong enough audience support. I am glad you are enjoying a bit of my personality peaking through my terror of social anxiety. A lot of people don't like swear words but I don't mind using them. They can be fun sometimes. You are right. Swearing does hurt your ads and sponsors. It's in the YouTube guidelines as well. They even limit that on the number of swear words per video. It's crazy.

First of all, I really like the audio of this video, dunno what U did, but It sounds much more professional. Also, This Video was not just informative, but goddamn funny. "I Can't make dick sucking face on my thumbnails. For one: I don't show my face, I'm ugly as fuck". This one made me laugh so hard. In general I enjoyed how you are taking a more light headed approach and are not being that serious any more. I think that this is better. Don't get me wrong, the topics you cover are very serious and important. But I think that You will win over more people for your cause if you're funny as compared to being Completely doomer. That just frustrates people and scares them so that they don't even try. I also enjoyed your metaphorical comparison between prostitution and what these big YT channels are doing. I think what they're doing is actually comparable to prostitution and I also think it's very problematic. Finally, this may sound weird but I am really glad that you do not hold back on swearwords when you feel like it. So many youtubers have started censoring their speech and if they say "fuck" they will beep it out. I think everyone should choose how to word their sentences. And If you don't want to swear, I understand that. But if you do, there's nothing wrong with that as long as it is not insulting anyone. And I think that many youtubers want to swear, but they just won't because that might hurt their relationship to their sponsors who don't want to be affiliated with someone who says naughty words on camera. Which is ridiculus.
