Episode 094 - What can Google see on GrapheneOS
Added 2023-02-22 16:32:00 +0000 UTCWhat information can Google still access if you install fully sandboxed Google Play Services on GrapheneOS? This is a complementary episode to my GrapheneOS setup episode: https://www.patreon.com/posts/78005853 and how to create pseudonymous Google accounts: https://www.patreon.com/posts/75013087

2023-03-13 17:04:25 +0000 UTCIn the topic of triangulation from cellular providers, this is LTE 4G not the beam forming of 5G. Beam forming, as I understand jt, is much more accurate. So it could be used to know which seat you use at the corner cafe, which floor you work on, which room you sleep in, etc. I think I should also mention that the newer beam-forming routers could be doing the same. Love to see a bit about that.
2023-03-13 16:35:26 +0000 UTCCell carriers track you regardless of whether you make a phone call. Your phone is always connected unless in an airplane mode or inside a Faraday bag.

2023-03-13 12:11:06 +0000 UTCIf your cellular is on your modem will ping nearby towers from time to time to ensure it will be able to receive service. Airplane mode disables your cellular modem but you will not be able to receive cals/text. Unfortunately it’s not like a radio where you don’t exist until you say something into ether.

2023-02-28 19:39:11 +0000 UTCIf you never make a phone call or call a number that is non operational can a cell phone tower still trace you?
2023-02-25 01:07:49 +0000 UTCThis is SUPER good, incredible THO! I have wondered about this, especially the IMEI and IMSI availability to Google. Thank you!
