"I can't believe I trusted the other side" - A side effect my Kurzgesagt report caused

That this whole Kurzgesagt criticism created a situation where the consensus is swayed by whatever the last person said. This is a very interesting phenomenon that I haven't seen manifest on the Internet to this extent before.
What is your takeaway? Did you have a similar experience?

I saw a bunch of comments similar to one another in the reddit thread with the reply to your video. All those went like "I don't understand why Gates foundation is bad, or why having funded by it is". A lot other comments were the derivates from the latter, say "If Gates aren't bad then criticising anyone for any relation with them is dumb (you're attacking a library) / tin foil hatted (you're a conspiracy theorist) / etc.". I can see why people having no answer to that could come to similar conclusion. The video from Think That Through answered exactly that core question on why Gates might be "bad".
