I have recently reviewed my exit surveys of Patreon supporters deleting their tiers. I wasn't sure what to expect but this wasn't it. This screengrab is just a small selection, but I was overwhelmed by how many patrons had to leave because of their financial situation. I totally understand it, but it is truly heartbreaking.
I preferably wouldn't ask for any support but I don't have any other financial means to sustain this work. My YouTube revenue is down to around $300 a month and I have no sponsors or affiliate links.
I want everyone to be able to access all of my content. I haven't had the confidence to make this podcast completely public. But I am strongly considering doing so so that people can easily listen to the episodes without paying or pirating.
What is your opinion on this? I have been trying to entice supporters with different perks, but also don't want to cut anyone out. If you shared my podcast with people who can't pay, I wouldn't mind.
Thanks to all of you still supporting. And let me assure that if you are in any financial difficulty, take care of yourself and your loved ones first! Don't worry about leaving my Patreon page. I am already eternally grateful to all of you!
