I think it would be interesting in Jon Stewart shed more light on what happened, and criticised Apple, for their priorities and interests. If he did it right, I wonder if it would make Apple look bad for what they have done. If people were to mistrust Apple, it would be quite interesting. I couldn't agree more on sponsors and the interests of the companies and the incentives they offer. All content that is funded by sponsors in the way that is common right now, is going to have the risk of bias. Techlore, is an example of this in many respects. He often presents sponsorship messages in his videos, about products for privacy, that he recommends. He cannot avoid recommending these products and saying good things about the services the company selling the product provides. He is unable to be critical of them, without going against the agreements he has with these companies. But there are many other content creators who have this conflict of interest, and no one cares about the effect it has on digital content. It influences it, and it in some ways, centralises control, for bigger corporations. It is a capitalist nightmare. I appreciate your critical views on this matter. I don't know of other creators who are doing this. People see taking sponsorships as a normal thing to do. People often have sponsorships for products that create a conflict of interest. If you have a YouTuber making videos about Mechanical Keyboards, and they get free Keyboards from a company and say good things about it, then the audience of that creator, may feel that it is a product that they want to purchase. However, it may not suit their needs, and may not even offer what they want in a keyboard. But because it was spoken about, by a creator who reviews and creates content on these keyboards, their audience are swayed to have a positive view on the products reviewed. The product that is being advertised may even be a poor quality product The case with Jon Stewart is very interesting and revealing. China, have made Apple compromise a great deal for the Chinese market. Unfortunately, this gives the government much more power. Apple, have become their puppet, and ally in their goals of controlling their population. This is a very problematic situation. The fact that this is influencing what is said about China outside of China, is quite concerning. Truth will be lost, when people are forced to compromise what they will and won't say. This needs to change.
