Developers of convenience rarely think of implications. Even Signal ties their service to Google to the point it makes them look really arrogant.

I need to think about how I want to go about my privacy in this regard, as I don't trust myself to remember to check certain apps. But there are some apps, that really do not require any notifications on my device.
