Advanced release. Still rendering a smaller version for E621 and elsewhere. It's still 2020. Target met.

You've had your fun pushing Kyn around. Now it's his turn to show you what he's got. And he certainly does show you for quite a while. You can tell by the way he's moving that he's close, so when he attempts to pull away, you grab on and go to finish the ride. Unfortunately, this backfires in a spectacular way.
You risk ending up glued to his fur, which wouldn't be a totally awful thing, you think. Regardless, it's time to go get cleaned up and you saw a huge bath last night. With a minimum amount of peeling, you extricate yourself from the slightly sticky otter and head to see what fun things you can get up to with him in the bathroom.
Over the water noises, you do hear another voice shouting angrily. You have no idea what that's about, you're sure Kyn will mention it if it's important.
<=====>
You are now Kyn.
You sort of got a bit lost for a while there with Efa, and once it was over, you quickly noticed a message waiting for you on the Comms unit. You also noticed Kobold Ass, which is currently of far more interest.
Efa proclaims a desire to clean up, but you also need to find out what the message is, so you tell her you want to grab some food before joining her in the bath.
It's not really a surprise that Roane answers the Comms. She's normally a fairly calm and collected Wolf, so her snappish attitude is kind of worrying, especially with all the alarms going off behind her. Your unease grows when she says she's already got two escorts on their way to collect you.
You still had 3 weeks of Leave left, and it's unusual to be recalled early, especially when the place is supposed to be a primitive, quiet, safe and pastoral world. You're worried about the implications of all this, but you also can't even start to guess at what's wrong.

Another one with not much description needed, but surprise! The story is sci-fi! I'm hoping the little hints and blatant dialogue occasionally didn't make it too much of a swerve across genres. I've wanted to have at least some sci-fi elements since fairly early on, and they've been in the model for Kyns apartment since I built the damn thing. There's actually an exterior!
This is another case where I've rendered stuff ages ago, and by the time it got to the edit, I hate how stiff it is. Much more practice seems to be required. Part of the reason this took so long, is the fluids. Not to beat around the bush, but they're basically the climax of several episodes, so it had to at least be mildly acceptable. So, so many of them literally spurted once nicely, then the rest detonated everywhere. I still don't understand why. Tiny changes to velocity would change a trickle to a shotgun blast or vice versa. Eventually, I stopped when it gave me something not terrible.
Ironically, the biggest fluid sim, right at the end, was the easiest. Literally 4 attempts, 1 where the water went through the floor, 1 it leaked out the sides, 1 was perfect but the flow was too small and barely filled the bottom, and the 4th was what you see. In comparison, the 2 spurts when they fall off the bed took probably 60-70 attempts and given the scale of the sims and how far they could go, each one took a long time to simulate then bake just to see it was shit again. What I got isn't perfect, but hopefully it's not too awful.
The other reason for taking so long is that I quit my job and moved to another company, which means a lot more commuting and work, so free time vanished significantly. The 4 day christmas holiday actually gave me time to do the last 2 minutes of the episode. Finally, I was originally aiming for christmas for this, after halloween got missed. I then aimed for the end of the year, and it's a few hours before that, so: suck it, 2020.

Finally finally, the Patreons at the end of the video were a massive help, even if they don't know it. Just knowing some people give a shit about this helps me keep going back and pushing on with it when you're stuck in an endless cycle of explosive simulations. The other thing is the OSTs for both of the Ori games. But mostly the Patreons.

I can at least respond to the critiques! I honestly didn't notice either of those. If I had, I'd probably have gone back and fixed them. I was on the fence about the cut between rolling over and getting up. I know I've said I want to do the interstitial motions when doing things like switching positions, but it still needs to be able to compress time to save it going too long I figured that cut might show slightly more time has passed than just getting up, without adding on more runtime. Same with not showing Kyn getting up to go to the screen, but I think that one worked better than Efas one did. I'm actually annoyed now about Roane. Turns out a current character in Twokinds is called Roan, so it looks like I plagiarised the name from something vastly more popular. I did get my name out first, but it's popularity that counts. I can confirm that Roanes name comes from a place called Roanne, near Lyon in France. I like to get character names from real places. Usually I'll start somewhere I've been or like, and search from there for a name that fits the character. In this case, started around Geneva, got Rhone, the river, but it didn't quite fit, moved down the Rhone to Lyon, then noticed Roanne a little bit away. Liked the name but felt it had gone to feminine so dropped one of the N's. Kyn and Efa, I looked around Haute Savoie, got a few names I liked but didn't fit. So I googled a short name generator until I got ones I liked. Trivia! The other two people mentioned, Berg is a shortened from Bergen, Norway and Eys is short for Eystri who is named after *gasp* Borgarfjörður Eystri in Iceland.

2021-01-07 20:56:34 +0000 UTCI'm late on this, but hurrah for making it in 2020! So much good stuff in there too, it made for pleasant end to the year! Love the tail caressing while they're on their sides, the belly bulge in the first missionary, and the clear power behind Kyn's thrusts on the second one. The fact that you stuck in through on animating their fall from the bed and subsequent action of Efa getting off him. The subtle loss of erection as Efa gets up, and Roane's animation as a whole, all great additions! I also think your effort to make Efa less 'plasticky' worked well, the bumps over her suggest a set of scales that are pebbly. The fluid sim on Kyn's climax looks fine, especially for all the trouble it gave you. Perhaps a little too water-like, but they way it sticks to the models is freakin' amazing and more than makes up for it! The second fluid looks really good too, fortunately water's a little more easily solved, heh. Only two minor critiques, one you're probably already aware of. When Efa grab's Kyn's junk, his eyes widen a lot; a hilarious and well-timed reaction, but it exposes a large portion of the eye ball. Would it be possible to move his eyes closer to the lids to minimize the dark area around them? The second is Kyn's balls when he gets onto all fours to watch Efa walk away, something funky happening with the model there, heh. It was also a little surprising to see Efa go from laying down to sitting with her legs over the side of the bed, but that's understandable since that would have been another hard animation and it's not that jarring. Overall though, delightful to watch and listen to, thank you so much for persevering on this through life under quarantine and nigh-endless technical problems!

2021-01-07 07:22:46 +0000 UTCAll he knows about the situation is what he was told. But yeah, you're right, it's kind of mean to get people to make his decision without knowing more about him. I hadn't thought of it like that. I have made the mistake of assuming people know as much as I do, which is completely wrong.

2020-12-31 22:09:44 +0000 UTCIf we are Kyn now, wouldn't we have some idea of what might be up to inform the decision?
