Added 2021-03-02 22:37:01 +0000 UTCSome progress news! THe new Efa is about 95% done. She is now clothed, rigged and has facial animations. The only thing left to do is give her one more accessory, a walk cycle and hand poses. Possibly some syllable poses as well, depending on how I feel about making lipsync work even if there is no speech to sync to.
I think one more session should get her ready to drop into the next scene. Kyn on the other hand, I've not really done much with him so far, but the plus side is that if I just get Efa animated, it's half done already.
Hopefully, he shouldn't be too much extra effort. I think I've done most of his clothes. There's accessories/mounting points to add to them first. Otherwise, it's building him a Blenrig, which I now have a better knowledge of thanks to the Efa rig. I now know how to do a lot of tricky stuff in it, so fingers crossed not too much effort to get it finished.
Of course, a new model for the characters also means releasing the old one for people to play with, so that's something to run and hide from.
It's hard to believe it's now 3 months since the last one went out. I really need to speed up my workflow and work ethic. There's just been so much other stuff I need to do lately, and annoyingly the really bad weather that keeps me in doesn't seem to be at weekends.
