Sometimes, when layering animation strips, weird shit happens. This is one of them, and almost as good as the old one with Efa bouncing around the bathroom in a circle.
To explain what is going on here, you keyframe certain bones on the model to get the actions performed. These specific sets of keyframes become an action strip. Using loads of these strips, you can layer basic things to get complex animations.
For example, what you see here, is a walk-cycle as the bottom layer. It goes for a set number of frames, then a new layer goes over the last few seconds, which controls Kyns body movements for slowing out of the walk and coming to rest. This means you have conflicting keyframes for his feet.
It is set so one strip fades into the second, giving a transition between them, however when you are editing one of the strips, it overrides parts of the other ones. So if I'm animating where he places his feet, when I play it back, it's adding both foot positions, so it's trying to find a halfway point between where the second strip places them and where the first one is placing them, giving you this mess.
Rest assured, it looks fine when I stop editing the strips, but for the time being, this is hilarious. I just love Efa looking on in horror.
