Efa: Leave (Version 2)

First up, the changes.

1) There's a skip near the beginning while panning over the landscape. That could not be fixed. The file is corrupted and I could not recover it.

2) Another skip when the camera enters the ship. Rerendered the whole scene to get rid of that, and also fixed a lighting glitch where the bridge had no light affecting it, so showed as really light until the camera approached. No idea what caused that. Possibly draw distance for lighting.

3) Overhead shot of Efa and Kyn, I adjusted her foot movement to be less slidey. Couldn't get it quite right, so it still looks a bit weird, but not as bad any more, I hope.

4) Did a new UI to show text better. Also added character names to UI. Multi-line text got centred. (Blender does not have a justification button...). Also, one line of dialogue appeared twice. The second one was changed to the actual line it should have been.

5) Removed the shitty tree. The flythrough scene has a lot of really shitty trees, but they go past so fast, it gets away with it, except one tree that the camera flies through so you see how rubbish they are. I cut it down.

6) Split the episode into 2 videos. I'll do the final release in 720p instead to make it a single file. I've still done the whole thing in a 400Mb video anyway, it's just taking time to upload...

Excellent changes! I hadn't even registered the tree we fly through, but it's obvious now you point it out. Text is indeed a lot more readable, and having names is a big help to set the Navigator's lines apart from Roane's. Personally I think the foot movement is well-improved; while there's not much to be done because of the angle, you can see her knee bend more easily, which was the key for me. That, and the right foot stepping in after stops it from being the main focus of the action. I also think that extra flash before Efa reacts is very helpful. It gives them something 'concrete' to react to, and helps delay the jaw drop. Hopefully the text wasn't too painful to adjust, 'specially since it sounds like you had to do it manually! One possibly unintentional change is time timing on the swell of the final music piece. Previously it came right as the Collector exploded, now it comes right as Efa and Kyn are knocked off their feet. I like both of them for different reasons. The early swell lets you bask in the intense energy, but the later swell has a great impact since it's the last thing that happens in the episode. Either way it goes I think it'll work well! On an extremely minor note, there's a tiny hiccup in the music at 2:22 (watching the full version) where it sounds like the clip restarts. Not sure what could be done if the clip doesn't loop, possibly fade it on either side? And obviously the long black pause in the middle, but I assume that will disappear when it's a single video Fantastic to see the changes so quickly, and thanks for being open to feedback!
