Cosmetic Slowdown

Ok, so maybe not entirely cosmetic...

If you've been around a while, you probably know the start of this story, so skip ahead for your sanity. For everyone else, I'm technically homeless and have been for about 17 months now. I've been living out of a van I converted into a camper when things looked like they were starting to go sideways. It's a fully kitted out camper. Bed, toilet/cold shower, small kitchen, fridge and a hookup for my computer. Also space for my bikes in the back. It's not entirely comfortable, but it's been home for all that time.

However, it's not entirely comfortable. I'm a tall person, so the width of the van isn't enough. I only have 2 hobs and next to no space for food prep, and toilets aren't so great when you have to drive 120 miles to empty them every few weeks. In short, I decided to look for somewhere to rent.

And I have found somewhere at an actual decent price. I'm hoping to be moved in within the next week or two, depending on signings and getting keys and stuff. Also an inconveniently timed christmas right in my predicted moving weekend.

What this means is that there is going to be an unavoidable slowdown in production for a while. To begin with it'll be on the lead-up to the move. Beyond that, it might take a few weeks to get internet sorted and everything liveable. I plan to do what I can leading up to it, but there's a few changes that will happen until things are settled:

• The Wilderness animation will stop
• Other animation projects will stop
• The commission animation I am working on will continue
• Assets for future animations will be worked on

The main plan is to complete the commission before dropping off the internet for a while, and while I am offline I'll be using that time to prepare characters, props and scenery for the next episodes and other projects.

Apologies for this, but until I can get dates nailed down properly, I have no idea of the timescales for this. One of the advantages is that the new place has 2 bedrooms, so I'll finally have the space to set up my mocap rig and hopefully see if I can improve my animations a bit. Be assured, I will be working on stuff as much as I can, but the move and setup has to take priority.

A big part of it is that most of my belongings have been in a storage unit since last year, and I need to get rid of a bunch of stuff I have no need of. That and apparently I have a grand total of 2 days off over the christmas period that aren't weekends, because apparently people need tech support for the companies that are closed over christmas and new year, and someone needs to sit in an office on their own for less than minimum wage over the festive period.

The other thing I forgot to mention. As soon as I am set back up and have internet working, I fully plan to go back to streaming while I work. Depending on interest, I might do streams for other stuff as well. I'll have the space, so there's a shitload of possibilities!
