New Year New Update

Hopefully, everyone experienced a christmas and a New Year of some description.

My holiday period was mixed, let's just say. I started rental of a flat nearer to work, so I was finally about to move from my van after a year and a half of living in it. I'd managed to get a good proportion of my belongings out of my storage unit and into the new flat, then a few days later got a day off, hired a van with cargo space and with some help moved everything else over to the new flat. However, I couldn't complete the move because I could not find a single one of the fittings to build all the furniture.

Then I tested positive for covid. Very positive. It absolutely wiped me out for several days, but everyone I was near managed to test negative, so the best bet was for me to just move in properly and save infecting others.

It took several days to finally locate all those fittings, and as it stands, I'm getting closer and closer to having my flat set up.

My internet is not connected until wednesday sometime. I have some form of internet, but it's mobile-based and struggles to get over 2Mb download and 400kb upload, so my online activities have been seriously limited. Once I have proper internet set up, there's a few things I plan on doing.

First up, I'll be setting up regular Picarto streams. This means people can tune in to the animation process, or whatever project I'm currently working on. This also helps me, because it sets a working structure, which I struggle to stick to under my own steam.

Second, I have no idea. I've got some other ideas floating around, but if anyone has suggestions on other stuff I can do once I have proper internet, I'm willing to consider it.

The images at the top are previews of stuff I've been doing while offline for the next episode. I've also completed the previs for most of the next episode, so just working on the assets to start on it properly.
