End of May updates!

It's been a while since the last update, because so much has happened that I've been having to process and deal with.

First up, I got moved into my new flat at the start of april, but it then turned out that literally everything water-related leaks. This has meant both bathrooms are having to be stripped out and rebuilt completely, which is taking time on a limited budget.

On top of that, the "job" I've complained about many times hit the breaking point and I had to quit due to differences of opinion with one of the owners. Basically it goes like this:

You get asked a question. For example "What did you do on your day off". You might answer with "I went for a walk". All good so far. Then he would reply: "so which mountain did you walk up?". This is where the problem starts. He's assumed what you did, so you clarify with "No, I went and walked in the woods".

The conversation has now fallen apart. The very act of adding additional detail to clarify the original statement now means the story has been changed, and "going for a walk" is now a lie. He can't trust people who lie to his face.

So I had to get out of there because it was getting worse, and when the person against you is an owner, you can't win.

Next, I had an event I work for most years on for a week and a bit that slotted in there somewhere. Went and did it. Returned with a big leg wound that got infected, so that was fun. Which brings us to the current date.

Advantages?

Yep. Being unemployed now, I've sunk a shitload more time into animation and stuff, but I've neglected Patreon which is a stupid thing to do. All the latest things are down below. I've also been working on a commissioned animation for someone which is in the final stages, but took up quite a bit of time. Finally, the next animation is almost half blocked out, and I'm hoping to start full animation on it by the end of the week.

Me Time

Finally, in a completely failed attempt to set up commission work and try to lessen the impact of unemployment, I put together a range of animations with canine characters. The idea was that potential commissioners could pay for as many scenes as they wanted, and the character gets customised to their own one. It's basically a way more advanced version of those YCH posts you see constantly. Turns out nobody expressed interest, so it was all around a waste of time.
