Update and whats gone wrong

This is probably a long time coming, but the last few weeks have been either super busy, dealing with tragedy or being depressed about it.

I'm still working on stuff. The game rebuild is almost done, I'm down to bugfixes now. So hopefully that shouldn't be much longer before I can move on to the next phases.

As I mentioned in my last post, I'd gone back to work for the company I quit a year ago. This turned out to be a mistake.

They signed me up for courses, but failed to give allocated work time to do coursework, against the agreements they made, so I was working full days then coming home and doing coursework as well, leaving very little spare time for anything. As well as that, they were failing to train me in even the basics of things they kept sending me out to do on client sites then yelling at me for getting things wrong. Assuming I did actually have skills to do things on sites, they'd send me with incomplete information, so I'd arrive without equipment required, without installers needed, or the info on what the full job actually was, so it would stretch to a second visit having found out what is needed the first time, and the bosses actually kowing what was needed.

This was all stressful, and I got offered a dog that was needing rehomed. So I took a week off and rehomed her. Everything was going great until the day before I was due to go back to work. We came back from a walk, she had a run around in the flat, ate, drank, and came over to sleep next to me. A few minutes later she just let out a big sigh and died. She was 11 months old.

I tried to resuscitate her and rushed her to an emergency vets, but she was gone.

The first day after it happened, I had to handle arranging for a post-mortem because the breeders need to know if there's a problem that would affect the other dogs both from that litter and with future litters from the same parents. I need it because I need to know if I did something wrong or missed something.

Then the day after, I had to collect her body from the vets to take to the post-mortem an hour away. That is when work sacked me for "obviously not wanting to work".

It's just over a week since it happened, I don't have any answers and it's been difficult to concentrate on anything at all. I'm slowly starting to do things though. I need work and I want to get the phase 1 rebuild done.

Again, I'm apologising because of how slow things have been. The last week and a bit have been a lot.

It's all good. Take your time and take it slow. Don't burn your mental out and always make time for yourself.
