This is going to be part of a 3 part series with DLL and marigold, since this arc was far too long to put into one comic.
also for clarity on the first page: DLL was injured by ants perceiving him by a threat, his wife expresses concern that his pacifism may put their family at risk, after he admits that he put no attempt to fight back
