After she started getting heavier we moved in together, but that didn't stop her for blaming me for her change in shape. Bloody fool, every time we went shopping together for groceries she was the one who bought a supersize bag of Cheetohs puffs. About a year after we met she was wearing clothes from the maternity section since almost everything went to her belly. She used to laugh about wearing maternity clothes and tug her top up over her stomach and say that she couldn't believe how much weight she had gained. When we showered she would look at herself sideways in the mirror after getting out and frown silently. She and I ended up splitting up but it was for unrelated reasons I'd rather not discuss. I had never dated anything but thin-as-rails girls before her. Admittedly I want nothing to do with her now. But she did open my eyes a bit and I ended up finding Kip here because of her, and because I became attracted to her body type and mannerisms from our time together. Haha, so many of our moments together seem like they would have fit nicely in one of Kip's comic panels; I remember riding around town in her mother's car while visiting her family, her seated next to me and her mother driving. And her mother says "You need some new shirts and camisoles." And she responded to her mother, "y-yeah, all of mine are...old." And her mother says "You mean old and TOO SMALL?" To which she just responded with a sheepish "yea" as she turned bright pink. I stared out the car's window and pretended I hadn't heard or seen anything. It was raining. I even remember the first time she finally noticed she was getting a bit chunky. I was relieved at the time; thought she might go on a diet. I was still obsessed with thin girls in those days. But well...tastes change as you become exposed to and grow close to different things. Funny how that works.
