that being said, what the hell is wrong with some of the fanbase...wow is all i can say, i have fortunately/unfortunately being somewhat sheltered from it since i am the only one in my circle who listens to RWBY, but what is the problem with this happening, Love is Love...who cares if it's a gay relationship...if it can help peoples not feel excluded, rejected, not represented or simply marginalized...why the hell would someone be opposed to that. i don't get it...

Man, i had NOT seen all the signs here...i started noticing the possibility really only in volumes five and six, now don't get me wrong i am by no means against it, in fact Yang is my favorite character with Blake being a solid second and them getting together makes me happy.

It was absolutely a tangent I could have went down, but I decided to at least mention the narrative potential of their relationship in regards to oppression and discrimination. Maybe it's something I'll cover more in depth in a shorter standalone video. Thank you though! Makes me feel more at ease when it goes live on YouTube!

Wow... that was really great. Balanced, thoughtful and well put together. The only point I thought of during your video essay that I thought could have been made was around your discussion of hetero-normativity and the world of Remnant. You said that Remnant is a fantasy world and doesn't really need to follow 'reality' in it's portrayal to same sex relationships... I think that everyone's reaction to Saffron and Terra's relationship bears that out. There is no surprise or gasps of oh wow look they're gay! They were just seen as yet another married couple with a child. Where I would love to see the societal conflict reflected would be still be with Yang and Blake's relationship. Not because it is same sex, but because it is a Human with a Faunus. You can explore many of the same themes of homophobia, racism and prejudice without being so on the nose. The Orville does a good job with this by flipping the prejudice with having a planet of all males who only have same sex relationships and see those with an attraction to females as deviant. Again, well done and I'd love to see more content from you like this.

Excellent video. Incredibly well edited and smartly put together. As video essays go, this was a great one.
