Added 2021-02-08 21:29:43 +0000 UTCSo, Full Night Nanny is getting closer to the end soon. Not ending yet, but we're getting there. Glad to hear everyone's been enjoying it so much! I have planned to do Cindy's Origins comic (a prequel if you will) sometime later, maybe this year but we'll see. So you don't have to say goodbye to her once the comic is over!
Now the next step will finally mark the beginning of my next long-running comic project! A University-setting of young adults battling pounds in a hyper socially conscious setting!
Estimated length will be something similiar to NLB but hopefully not as long, definitely not planned to be 300 pages but we'll see.
Now here's the BIG news. Because the new comic will have lots of new characters to introduce and manage the setting and everything it's gonna take a bit longer to get going, similiar to NLB. I plan to compansate this by posting 3 pages a week!
This will be an experiment and it requires that I bring the quality of the pages down slightly. Currently I spend too much time inking and grayscaling and this time would be better spent on making more pages. Hopefully it won't be too noticeable, but likely it will resemble your average manga look a bit more (black&white with some gradients) This is not a guarantee, if things go south and everyone hates the new style I will switch back to my old way of doing things and I cannot promise that I'll be able to keep up 3 pages a week(+weekly painting and polls and all the extra stuff) in that setup. Don't worry too much as it's not a radical change, my style will still be my style but I'm regardless going to try my best at it, hopefully it'll turn out okay!
Now for days, I'm thinking of keeping the SUNday and WEDnesday, which weekday would you prefer to have the 3rd page uploaded? I'm thinking of Friday but I could also change it up to be Mon-Thur-Sat or something related. Tell me what you think!

I would say to stay with 2 pages Better Quality over Quantity Unless the pages will still be just as beautiful, and won’t look any different, then yeah, that would be awesome ^w^ But don’t push yourself, just do what your most comfortable with, and I vote Friday lol ( also kinda random, but just an idea for the university title of the comic, maybe something with “Freshman 15” in it )

2021-02-10 00:43:07 +0000 UTCDepends a lot on how do you define it. If you only care about weight gain then Nolunch took 18 pages to get going which IMO isn't that long considering it's almost a 300 page comic and that's the longest it's ever been in my comics so far.

2021-02-09 13:46:34 +0000 UTCYeah not every page needs to be max effort, especially plot pages that don't have money shots or big character reactions. You can always go back and polish and colorize a fan-favorite page as well. We could vote on this, and it could be something to fill between arcs

In general I've only had 1 week of holiday a year (christmas) and the occasional sick day here and there. It's really hard to set aside time for just a break when there's no occasion for it. This year I'm probably going to try and have a bit more time off and balance it with posting more content weekly.

2021-02-09 10:14:35 +0000 UTCI was actually going back through dinner with sister pages and while the finish is a lot rougher than what I do nowadays I think it's entirely passable for reading a comic. I work a lot faster now than I used to so I hope focusing on more content while keepin the style the same will make more of the good thing while keeping the quality consistent.

2021-02-09 10:11:56 +0000 UTCYeah this is a bit tricky subject because if I focused solely on comics I could churn out at least 5-6 pages a week... paintings take a long time finish and they tend to include trial and error often. However I know they are important to a lot of people here and I'd rather have more varied content than just one thing. So this is my way of trying to increase the comic output while keeping the weekly paintings a going~

Humor aside, This all sounds very well-considered. I’m sure the less developed / variably-developed pages will work nicely. And three pages per week is huge!! Personally I would be okay with less frequent pinup paintings if that also would take the pressure off you some. They’re great! But your comics are best imo :) I’m surprised that the next long-format story is not NLB2! That’s okay I can wait, just impressed how far out you plan things. A new huge cast sounds amazing, and wit your recent work just building strength upon strength I have total confidence in what’s in store! One question tho, just based on back-of-the-envelope math, at 3 pages/week, even a 200 page story would take over a year, so how is it possible we might see Cindy Origins in 2021? Oh, and do you expect Cindy: Year 0 will be roughly the length of Full Night Nanny? Okay sorry for writing a lot as usual, thanks for your unique contribution to the internet and congrats on the big plans!

What's important is that you're happy with the work you produce. 3 pages a week sounds nice, though :3

Will the story mostly be following a single character or will it be more of a split narrative? With the university setting, I think a split narrative would definitely be interesting!

When we get to the more important pages I'd personally be okay with a theoretical 1 page a week for quality. I don't care what days, only about wait time between pages. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
