I think a lot of the over the top kobe super dad narrative is an attempt to repair his image in perpetuity, since clearly the fact of his rape episode will always be out there. It's succeeding, as evidenced by the outrage at the subject being brought up after he died.

Hey remember that video chronicles did on YouTube titled “the rise and fall of Shaq and Kobe...” and how even back a few years ago he linked Kobe’s statements about wanting to be “The WILL SMITH of the nba (according to Shaq)” and up to the point of his removal it’s crazy good work ccj as always
