Who Is The REAL GREATEST SHOOTER EVER?

This what I don't understand with these topics. Shouldn't all aspects of shooting be evaluating before picking these guys. I would say Bird Steph Durant Reggie. All 4 of these guys was the number one and can shoot the ball all types of ways. If you a great catch and shoot of second man on the team, you shouldn't be at the top of this list. Have Klay as the leader of his team he not the same shooter.

You have to take in account midrange shooting at high level so I would have Steph, Larry, Klay, Nowitzki and Durant probably in my top 5. My 5 to 13 would probably be Reggie, Ray, Petrovic, Jerry west, Pete Maravich Steve Nash, Mark Price and Damian Lillard. Those are the truly elite shooters from what I can remember but I am sure I am forgetting some.

I think Jerry West is a better shooter than Larry Bird. A few names that deserve to be mention as well is Gail Goodrich. Jerry West had mad range with good efficiency

Larry Bird was a phenomenal player, and was the reason (along with Magic Johnson) that I got into basketball. I also remembered Dr. J, playing, but when I saw Larry Bird’s exhibition game vs. Atlanta when I was a child... it that moment when he became my favorite player until I saw Michael Jordan and Penny Hardaway. With that said my top 5 shooters are: 1) Larry Bird 2) Steph Curry 3) Kevin Durant 4) Klay Thompson 5) Steve Nash

Larry Bird and Steph are the greatest shooters in the history of the NBA. As Chronicles correctly pointed out, it is in Larry's efficiency at every aspect of shooting that separate him from everyone else. Steph revolutionized the game. The most clutch shooter on the list is Reggie Miller. Even more so than Larry Bird. He has too many moments. His moments against the Knicks. The Buills in game 6 of 98. The Nets series in the early 2000's. And he did it as the best player on the team. Teams expected him to come off of screens, and he did not get the benefit of a Steph Curry to take away attention like Klay has.

I'll never forget that game. I had an exam to write later that day but I stayed up and we won... I failed the exam though.

I remember watching that OKC vs GWS 2016 reg season game at 4am in Johannesburg thinking "is this the greatest reg season game ever?". I felt blessed just being able to witness on live tv.

I'll never forgive Klay Thompson for that Game 6...
