Haney had been in Mayweather gym since he was 7 years old working with Floyd's father. Haney and Floyd does have a history together.

I'm very late to this video but, before i heard you say Haney studied Mayweather, i too believe that Haney sounds and speaks like a young Floyd Mayweather. Haney in my opinion, is very talented, has great boxing skills, and seems to be unpredictable in the ring. I do agree though, at times he seems to be too squared up and he movement could use some work. I also see that sometimes he leads in with his head and leaves it out there but, i'm sure he can improve in these areas.

Wish him all the best as but if he’s going to go the Mayweather route it won’t be easy. Floyd before his hand issues and becoming super defensive is a ONCE in a generation level talent. I don’t sense that same WOW factor watching Haney.

Teo the most athletic to me at 135. He can do a standing backflip. Haney supposedly has two mandatories, javier fortuna and Ryan garcia. He was suppose to fight fortuna in 2019 the fight went to a purse bid and then he came up with the shoulder injury where he got surgery. How is haney going to talks about mandatories but leaves out fortuna? Haney also became lomas mandatory like 1 or 2 months before teofimo knocked out commey and took the Ibf belt. It made sense at the time why loma opted for teo since haney had no belt. Haney's dad also imo is in the craft. Hes been trying to make it in show business since he was younger and interestingly enough he stepped down just yesterday as haney's trainer. He always wear black too and pops up on all the boxing channels talking a lot of shit. I want to see haney fight some competition, hopefully that fight with fortuna can get made.

The answer is no! He doesn't have the boxing talent nor actual boxing craft to beat the top fighters. Tank is the best overall boxer at 135lbs. Those that know boxing know this. Haney doesn't transfer his weight properly, has no active guard, keeps his head on the center line, and only throws one type of jab/never probs, which is very amateurish. He's a good kid though. It's the subtle things that all time greats do that separates them from good fighters.
