Added 2024-10-29 16:00:24 +0000 UTCFound a Soviet structure on the island! I reached a new milestone by spending the night in a hammock on this remote island. My main goal was to find a larger artillery battery, and not only did I find it I also got a chance to explore it. I'm thrilled with how it all turned out, and it feels like Iβve uncovered the most interesting spots on this island. Now, I can leave it with good feelings!

2024-10-31 16:56:05 +0000 UTCThanks Anton, that was really interesting! It reminds me of Fort Hancock in Sandy Hook, NJ in the United States. That also had the coastal defense batteries as well as Nike missile batteries for defending New York city! However, just like the place you visited, they are no longer in use as they are obsolete.

2024-10-30 06:07:59 +0000 UTCCool seeing where the massive guns were! That metal pipe thing in the warehouse is for putting out big fires. Those thing spray a lot of water, there were two places to hook up hoses to it. Your adventures are fun to watch, learning about the history.
