Pilot Week 4 | Four Shows Enter...

Attention Institute Personnel!

Pilot Week 4 has just concluded and now the time has come for you to make your choice! But, don't cast your vote too quickly, a few things to keep in mind...

Remember that every show from this week will be added to our ongoing Incoming Series. This vote instead determines how much effort will be dedicated to each one. Certain options take more work than others, so the top pick will not necessarily be the most frequent.

Additionally, multiple choice voting has been enabled! If you have a few different picks in mind, feel free to vote for as many as you like.

Thanks for your support, and see you at the polls!

I hope the Building a battlegroup idea continues and updates soon, as your first video gave a deeper look and new perspective on a classic franchise and the ships within (their uses and potential uses untapped in canon) in an engaging manner beyond the limits of tv/movie guidelines (pacing). Have you decided which faction from which IP is next? This is more challenging the more I think about since few IP’s have potentially fully realizable militaries: The cylons from the reimagined Battlestar Galactica have 2 ships, the factions from Stargate SG-1 such as the Tau’ri aren’t much better on that front. Starfleet from Star Trek has a dizzying array of ships but they tend to be ‘do everything ships’ that would be hard to place in a specific role over another difficult-other than the Defiant class (destroyer). One of the factions from the Honorverse would be a possibility if anyone was interested. Be hilarious if you tried to do a Gundam faction: “So we’ve ascertained optimal firing points for the HYPER MEGA PARTICLE CANNON, but where do we put the energy boomerangs, lightsaber wielding mechs and effeminate emo teenagers…” Babylon 5’s Earthforce would be would be an interesting possibility-the fleet has clearly defined escorts, cruisers and heavy hitters in ships of distinct styling, excellent physics and overall great shop design such as the Omega and Warlock. The MCRN from the expanse would be fascinating whether you did the books, tv or some merger-the tv series has 2 on-screen unnamed ships that I would be interested in hearing your opinions on. Whatever you choose to do, I am interested and excited to see it in the future!

I love the "Building Your Battlegroup" type videos a lot, and I'm glad it's winning, but I wish the "Everything That Annoyed Me In" option was winning more since it's just fun, and gets you thinking about how much work goes into (or doesn't) creating a coherent world.
