I was inspired by Mortal Kombat sound design tricks I read about years ago. Finally gave it a shot; bought loads of veggies, fruit, cooked up pasta for the slimy bits, snapped bananas, celery, bell peppers… then mixed it all with thick water and sugar. Easily the messiest session I’ve ever done — but also one of the most fun.
