📢 [KDTSCANS] Important Announcement Regarding Our Scanlation Activities

Hello everyone,

We hope you are all doing well. Today, we would like to inform you about a new security measure we are implementing—specifically concerning our Patreon page.

🔐 We will be changing our Patreon URL.

The new URL name has not yet been finalized. It might be either short or long to avoid being easily found. Unlike other scanlation groups that use strict paywalls, we believe we remain within MangaDex's guidelines.

As many of you know, some groups require users to buy coins on their website to unlock chapters—often taking months to release them to the public.

📜 MangaDex’s rules specify that:

It is prohibited to scanlations that permanently lock chapters behind a paywall on external sites.

However, they allow donation-based early access, provided that the content is eventually made public and not permanently locked.

Based on this and considering our low subscription cost (Tier 1.5 gives for $3 access to 90% of the content), we believe we remain within acceptable limits.

🛡️ Proactive Security Steps

To stay cautious, we will:

Rename our Patreon page and its URL to avoid easy detection.
Current subscribers will receive email notifications for our Patreon posts, which will include the new name.
Newcomers or unsubscribed users will need to visit our Discord and head to the #donations section to find the new link.

⚠️ We will no longer share the Patreon link publicly to ensure greater security.

📷 About Promotional Images

Previously, at the end of chapters on MangaDex, we included an image stating “See 5 chapters in advance on our website,” followed by another saying “See 5 more on Patreon.”

➡️ This practice will be discontinued.

MangaDex prohibits promoting Patreon-exclusive chapters within their platform. Going forward, users who discover the link and wish to support us will find early-access content on Patreon
