Centuries ago, neko refugees from the sacked city of Nyaren arrived at a lush cape directly to the North of Lamnar Jungle. There, they encountered human worshippers of Euvine, who had lived between the cape and jungle since before recorded history. The humans of the cape paid tribute to a proud elemental soldier that had long educated them in Euvine's teachings of compassion between all living things, and so they sought to follow these teachings by agreeing to share their land with the nekos; however, something in this act offended the elemental, resulting in a violent conflict between it and its mortal devotees. This conflict ended with the mortals overthrowing and subjugating the enraged elemental- an act which the humans knew to be blasphemous. Ashamed of their own actions, the humans of the cape withdrew from the land and left the bewildered nekos with the trapped spirit of the elemental soldier, which they buried deep in the soil. Over the centuries, from that soil, countless potato plants have grown and bloomed. Those potatoes fed generations of nekos, allowing for them to prosper and build a new home on the cape- a home that eventually became the city of Costa Del Nyan. This story has long since become legend, and very few mortals know the truth behind it, but it is said that the descendants of those first humans who lived on the cape still possess a special connection with the land, and can harness its power in ways most other mortals could hardly imagine...
