... Are you being sarcastic? WorldPride is the organization, the festival is being held in Sydney this year and they scheduled the festival to fall during the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras’ 45th anniversary. So yes, they have their own holiday, but more so, even if they didn't it wouldn't be "leeching" anything. Pride isn't any one person/organization/country's event. It's for everyone, everywhere.
