Vote for August Patron Exclusive Episode! (All Nolan all the time)
Added 2020-08-06 01:11:34 +0000 UTCHappy August, amazing patrons! It is time to vote for the film we'll be discussing in the August patron-exclusive episode. You may notice a theme for this month...you may also notice that three films are suspiciously missing (as well as Inception because we did that as a live watch along for our 200 patron goal). Get ready for a Christopher Nolan filled month!

Interstellar would be great. Iβm pretty sure one of them once said it has both the best and worst of Nolan in it. I want to hear them discuss a polarising film rather than just have them praise a great one for an hour.

2020-08-09 11:26:49 +0000 UTCPrestige will be the most interesting conversation I think.

2020-08-06 08:45:54 +0000 UTCI think Interstellar is a great showcase of both, Nolan's weaknesses and strengths, and so I think its the perfect jumping off point for a general discussion about him as a director.
2020-08-06 07:28:22 +0000 UTCInterstellar, exactly because of its shortcomings.

2020-08-06 06:14:11 +0000 UTCI'm torn between The Prestige and Dunkirk. The Prestige ist my favourite Nolan film and I would love to hear your thoughts about it. But Dunkirk on the other hand surprised me very much when I first saw it in the theater and I had an amazing (yet haunting) experience. I have decided to give my vote to the 'underdog' Dunkirk which has less votes as of now. Memento would be interesting as well from a writer's perspective for obvious reasons, so I wouldn't be too mad if that got chosen.
2020-08-06 05:56:43 +0000 UTCThe Prestige was my first Nolan film, of course I'm going for that!

2020-08-06 01:30:18 +0000 UTCJust bought insomnia, itβs the only Nolan I havenβt seen. Was going to vote for following, but ofc it canβt win when itβs up against 5 of the greatest movies ever made.
2020-08-06 01:26:36 +0000 UTCI voted for Dunkirk because I love that movie. Iβd love to listen to you guys discussing a war story. Still, they are all great options!
