March Patron-Exclusive Vote: Recent Best Picture Nominees
Added 2023-03-03 03:15:33 +0000 UTCWith the Oscars upon us, our March vote will be on five Best Picture Nominees of the past decade (including one winner)! Follow this link to vote.
Like last month, we're trying out ranked voting. You rank the movies by dragging and dropping the movies into the order you would most prefer.
The goal is to relieve the pressure of "I really want to vote for X, but I know it won't win, so I'll vote for Y." With this system, go ahead and put X first!
Behind the scenes, the vote is conducted in "rounds." From the website:
How do "rounds" work?
A "round" is the process of determining if there's a ranked-choice winner, and, if not, eliminating the lowest vote getters.
In Round 1, all first-choice votes are added up. If no choice gets a majority in Round 1, then the lowest vote getter is eliminated. Anyone who voted for the eliminated choice has their vote count for their next ranked choice in the following round. This continues for as many rounds as are needed to determine a winner.
Looking forward to seeing what you'll choose!

Looks like Spotlight is going to win again due to ranked voting just like when Fury Road and Revenant split the vote.
