Something else I noticed a few years ago and completely forgot about. At the end of Home Alone, after Harry and Marv get taken away, Kevin gets the house cleaned up and leaves out milk and snacks for Santa. He wakes up the next day and the snacks are still there so after the film finishes, Kevin probably also has a realisation about Santa too which might go some way to explain why Kevin's view on Christmas seems to be more tied to Christmas trees in HA2. Home Alone 2, he also bats down Fuller's excitement saying Santa doesn't visit hotels, much like a kid might who's found out about Santa but doesn't want to ruin it for a younger family member. Maybe I'm thinking too much about this...

2023-12-17 22:23:07 +0000 UTCHas anyone figured out how Kevin's age works in Home Alone and Home Alone 2? In the first, he says he's 8, one or two days before Christmas and in Home Alone 2 set a year later, he says he's 10 years old. It's always driven me nuts and the only thing I can think of is that Kevin's birthday maybe falls on December 23rd or 24th but is just never acknowledged in the films :D
