Love you guys (I’m from the U.K. ) I’ve been furiously digesting all your podcasts, thank you sincerely! Hated Poor Things sadly. For balance I wish one of you guys had disliked it so your debate could open up a lot more. It was just a demented 18 certificate version of Alice in Wonderland for me and I was gutted that all that budget has been spent on something like that, when it could’ve made some fantastic social dramas, which is more my thing… But there you go something for everyone and variety is the spice of life. Funny enough as an actor if I’ve been offered a role in it, I would’ve jumped at it and that part of my brain would’ve loved it but as a viewer it was a massive turn off. And I wish Lily Gladstone had won the Oscar for her outstanding performance, which on its own was for me the best performance of the five nominations and would’ve done such culture wonders for the native Americans, but the inner circle of Hollywood voted for The “as you say your generation Meryl Streep”, and just like Meryl Streep I suspect many more nominations to come for the same people over and over again And minorities remain behind the door of the closed Shop

Great pod folks! I loved it. And while it’s very much a movie about feminism, I also thought the shades of masculinity characters chosen by Tony were interesting - the protector, the cuck, the weasel, and the “alpha”.
