Good idea, though I'd suggest favourite actors in specific roles/films, kind of like Oscar nominations. Everyone has amazing performances and duds.

I'd love to hear a list of favorite actors and why from each screenwriter - similar to how they do top 10 movies of (insert era here). That could be an interesting perspective on how different kinds of performances can still rank as favorites in terms of personal opinion.

I feel like a good question to throw back at the argument that acting "as yourself" is somehow "easier" is: what happens when the script requires that person to say or do something they wouldn't in real life? They have to then "play themselves" doing something they never would. You could argue that that is even more difficult than playing someone very different than you doing that same thing.
