No mountain too high. No river too wide. No dream too big. (LTVB - Side Story)

A side story today! About a Pokémon, some people have definitely been wondering about.

---

The sound of the ocean lapping against the sand, the lingering warmth in the air as the sunset, the glow of orange over the water. Plates stacked aside after being literally licked clean because the food had just been that good. It was a perfect moment, yet Brie wasn't paying attention to any of it. Mouse's smile across the beachside table was just too beautiful to look away from. Those pearly whites lit up the beach better than any sunset.

"Brie," Mouse squeezed her hands as the candle flames licked at their skin. "Are you listening to me?"

"I was! But then you smiled at me, so..."

"You've seen my smile a thousand times," Mouse chuckled. She couldn't even pretend to be mad. They were both having too much of a good time. "We'll only see a sunset like this once."

"I'm happy with my choice," Brie pulled Mouse's hands over the table, pulling it up to her mouth to kiss her Partner's knuckles. The table creaked from the weight put on it, legs pressed down into the sand as it took on Mouse's heft. Mouse was a big woman, both tall and a little plump, with a chest that a woman could get lost in. Brie had done just that plenty. "Your smiles only get prettier. I want to treasure every one."

"Arceus," Mouse blushed. Her cheeks puffed out when she smiled bashfully, which just made it pretty in a different way. "You're gonna make me cry again."

"If my love makes you cry, then I'm glad you've given me skin that doesn't wrinkle," Brie smirked. "And arms big enough to hold you."

"Made you a monster," Mouse laughed and tried to pull away, but Brie didn't let her. She just smiled and kept kissing Mouse's fingers. "A lot of women would be upset."

"I've had women nearly feint seeing me, and it's not because I'm a monster," Brie said, standing up and giving Mouse a twirl. Her black strapless dress clung tight to her body, the corset underneath squeezing her stomach. It all showed off how much she'd inherited from Mouse. She'd got some ludicrously round hips that made the dress swell out and a chest that needed custom-made sports bras to keep it from being unruly when she worked. She kept fit for her job as a Ranger, but her muscles didn't show through a pleasingly soft bit of thickness that wasn't entirely Mouse's fault. When they'd met, Brie was a short lady with a slightly plump figure and a determination to make up the difference. Now, she was a nearly seven-foot-tall bombshell who could make a Pokémon squirm without saying a word.

Mouse certainly squirmed, biting the back of her hand as she blushed up a storm. "Okay! Okay, you're gorgeous. Mercy!"

Brie dropped herself into Mouse's lap. As large as she was, Mouse was still bigger in every way, and when it came to comfortable laps, this had to be the best in the world.

"No mercy for the Ladykiller of Alola," Brie purred, nuzzling her head under Mouse's chin. She breathed in, getting the smell of the sea and the scent of the woman she loved. So closely mingled it was hard to tell them apart, and she loved them both dearly.

"That was so long ago," Mouse laughed, rubbing her head against Brie's long, wavy blue hair. The affectionate nuzzling made it flutter in the warm dusk air. "I was fished out of the sea and civilized by a very stubborn woman."

"Oh? Sounds exciting. Tell me the story."

Mouse snorted and gave Brie's ass a squeeze. The plump flesh was a nice handful for the giant Pokémon. "When I was a Wild young Wailmer, I traveled all along Alola, flashing smiles at any pretty young thing I saw on a beach."

Brie reached up to caress Mouse's cheek. Her lover leaned into the touch and kissed the palm of her hand. "I'm sure they all fell for you as hard as I did."

"Maybe," Mouse's smile softened, and a slight blush bloomed. "Most ladies just want to know if Wailmer are as big as the stories say. I never found out what the stories said; I always hammered them into the sands so hard they started talking nonsense. Begged me for more and told me I was too much at the same time. So confusing, can you believe it?"

"My Partner is so crass," Brie kissed Mouse's nose. "It's a good thing I know she's a big softie."

"I've planted you in the sands plenty of times," Mouse kissed Brie's nose in turn. "And you're way worse. I've heard the things you say to the poor troublemakers you catch. You'd make the Tapu sisters blush."

"Not likely, but you're sweet for the compliment. Go on."

"So, I was swimming along the reefs one day, enjoying the sights and looking for someone to play with," Mouse grinned, eyes shining as the memory returned to her. "And I met this Ranger who'd been waiting for me. I flashed her a smile and got ready to strip her down, and then she, you'll never believe this, asked me if I wanted to go on a date."

Brie laughed and kissed her. "Is that so shocking?"

"I was completely floored," Mouse nodded. "I'd never been asked out before. So, I swam around her and checked her out. She was so tiny, didn't even come up to my chest."

"She was a bit taller than that." Brie huffed.

"Didn't even come up to my waist. I'd have had to kneel down to get a blowjob."

Brie rolled her ass in Mouse's lap, stroking at the thick length tenting out her pants. "You're lucky you ever get one. I'm almost up to eye level now."

"Chin maybe," Mouse laughed, pressing her chest against Brie's back. "But you're missing the point. I was towering over this woman who barely came up to my ankle, and she just asked me out on a date like it was the most normal thing. And you know what I said? I said, 'Okay.' Like an idiot."

"You looked like you'd swam face first into a flood wall. It was adorable."

"She took me dancing. I've never been dancing before. Bought me cotton candy, and we found a quiet spot to watch some fireworks."

"Sounds nice. Bet the fireworks were pretty."

"You tell me." Mouse grins, "I missed the fireworks. Too busy fucking a lady-shaped dent into the sand. You were the one looking at the sky."

"Classy." Brie kissed Mouse again, running a hand over her side. Enjoying the softness of her Partner and that hard core of strength buried underneath. "Sounds like you were still the Ladykiller of Alola."

"I wasn't. That's all it took to change me. That was the best night of my life. I'd spent years just fucking ladies silly. They couldn't keep their hands off me, but then one came along who wanted more than that, who wanted a bit of me I'd never even offered up. I couldn't wait for what she had planned next."

"A few days recovery," Brie laughed, "And then I took you to a dog park. You petted every dog there. We got Malasadas after, and you ate the whole box before I got a bite."

"They were delicious," Mouse blushed, "I made it up to you."

"My Mouse does love a nibble of her cheese. I'm still picking dog hairs out of my couch."

"That was three years ago! You have a new couch."

"I had to burn the old one. After what you did to me after that snorkeling trip." Brie took her turn to blush. "Can't believe coral got you so hot and bothered."

"You squeezed into a skintight diving suit did that. The coral was just backdrop," Mouse said, reaching up to and squeezing the soft mounds near falling out of Brie's strapless dress. Her fingers sank in deep. She wasn't afraid to be a little rough. They knew each other's limits so well now.

"I never tamed you. I just wanted to share the world with you, Ladykiller." Brie moaned, the sound trailing off into a gasp as her breasts were massaged. The feeling ran through her whole body and pooled between her thighs, making her tremble in Mouse's arms.

"You've shared so much with me," Mouse rumbled, licking at her ear. "And I can't wait to share even more with you."

"Deeper," Brie whispered, "Get your fingers in there."

Mouse was already on it, pulling Brie's chest tight, stretching the cloth out until it tore down the front. It was a shame to damage a good dress, but it wouldn't be the first one they ruined together. There was a soft click as Mouse's fingers brushed against something hard.

"Brie," Mouse teased as she fished it out, a blue-painted ball with white wavy stripes. "Are you keeping my binding ball in your cleavage?"

"This dress doesn't have pockets." Brie blushed, "And you're always close to my heart."

"Oh, I'm planning to get much closer than that," Mouse purred, kissing Brie's neck. Her hips rocked up, grinding her cock against Brie's plump ass. "Going to touch it from the inside."

The ocean waves were a distant roar in Brie's ears. The heat of the air and the lingering glow of the sun on her skin couldn't compare to the heat building up in her. She ground down against her Partner's cock, it may be a bit of a joke about how big Wailmer was, but it certainly wasn't untrue. She'd grown ridiculously tall thanks to her inheritance, and it still felt a bit too much. Everything about Mouse was a bit too much, and Brie loved that. She loved people without reservation, enjoyed things more than was sensible, and when work was needed, she tried harder than was necessary. She threw her all into everything, and it was a delight to introduce her to new things every day.

Brie could do it forever; if she got her way, she would. Pressing her thumb to the Binding Ball's mushroom button in Mouse's hand, it snapped open with a satisfyingly chunky click. White petals sprayed out of it. They'd been compressed so tight it was like a confetti bomb going off. Mouse gasped as Brie found an edge to the red glowing wires and began pulling them out, hundreds of White Plumeria flowers threaded all the way along it. It'd taken hours to do, but it was worth it for the smile she got.

"Mouse, I want to show you so much more," Brie said as she pulled the garland of white flowers out of the ball. The color perfectly matched Mouse's short, tidily swept-back white hair. "Make you smile a new way every day."

Brie slipped the wreath over Mouse's head. She was already crying, but they were happy tears, and as long as the smile was there, she still looked beautiful.

"Marry me? Let's do this together for as long as we can."

Mouse's answer was a teary kiss. The kind of firm, piledriving kiss that would've sent an average woman tumbling into the sand, but Brie wasn't an average woman, not anymore. She had years of Wailmer inheritance, giving her the strength to wrap her arms around her fiancé and kiss back with all she had. Tongues battled fiercely as hands pressed flesh and their bodies rubbed over each other. It went on so long that Brie got lightheaded, and her cheeks wetted from Mouse's tears. She could feel the heart pounding in Mouse's chest, a drumbeat so fast it felt like it should be rippling her skin.

"Yes," Mouse sobbed when she finally pulled back, smiling so wide it must have hurt. "I'm going to marry you so hard."

"I'll marry you even harder," Brie smiled, brushing the tears off Mouse's cheeks. "I'm going to make the perfect wedding, you'll see."

"No," Mouse shook her head. "I'm going to do it. I want to plan this, show you something special. Something you've never seen before."

Brie blinked. Mouse had always been curious and loving, but she'd never been much for planning. A Wailmer was used to people falling over themselves to do whatever they said. It'd taken Brie to show just how valuable a bit more care and attention was. "Okay, my Ladykiller. You can do it all. I know I'll be impressed."

"You will." Mouse beat her chest proudly. "I'm going to do it all for you. You deserve me at my best, my very best."

Brie yelped as a blinding light flashed, and she suddenly tipped back over her chair. Something caught her before she hit the ground, a firm grip lifting her up as she flailed to grab onto something. Her hand sank into warm, comforting flesh.

"Mouse!" Brie gasped, blinking away the spots from her eyes. "Are you okay?"

"Better than okay." Mouse beamed. She was glowing, literally. The white flowers of her LLei were raining down over her body, the glowing white light sinking under her skin and filling her out. She swelled everywhere a petal landed on a curve of flesh. Mouse was rapidly filling out and getting taller by the second. "You've made me the happiest Wailmer in the world."

"H-huh?"

"My wife-to-be deserves the biggest heart and the warmest smile," Mouse's voice boomed, echoing over the crashing waves. It was so powerful that it blew out the candles and made Brie's hair flutter. Mouse bit her massive lip in embarrassment, her fingers caressing Brie as she dangled out of the palm of Mouse's hand. "Sorry, I broke your proposal Lei," Mouse whispered, still trembling Brie's skin. She was just so large. Brie was bigger than Mouse's hand, but not by a lot.

"It's okay," Brie smiled, her heart racing. This was crazy but so exciting. She'd always known this was a possibility, but to be looking up at a Wailord, the sheer scale and majesty of her Partner! "This is amazing. You're amazing. I made you the happiest Wailmer in the world. I'm going to make you the happiest Wailord."

Making your giant Partner cry led to some very salty kisses, and they were already challenging enough. But Brie didn't care; this couldn't have been a more perfect moment. Her favorite smile had just gotten a whole lot bigger.

---

There had been some challenges to face.

The world tried to accommodate Pokémon, but there were limits, and they started way before you hit forty-seven feet tall. There wasn't a bed big enough to withstand Mouse, so Brie just slept in her lap. Mouse made the best pillow, anyway. It wasn't just furniture that was the problem. Mouse didn't fit in many buildings anymore, but as long as Brie stayed near the windows, they could work it out, and thankfully, Brie's job as a Ranger had her outside most of the time. More than one Ship Captain had found herself safely guided through rough weather by the gentle hands of Brie's Partner. They got brought in to handle the most challenging jobs, and together, it was almost effortless; a cocky Kommo-o usually took a whole team of Rangers to put down.

Mixing Dragon and Fighting Types together made a Pokémon with an ego more significant than the sun, but it'd been so satisfying to watch all that cockiness bleed out of their grin when Mouse had risen up from the Ocean and cast a shadow across the whole beach, hands on her hips as she demanded to know who was picking a fight with her fiance.

Plans still span in the background. Mouse really did want to show Brie something special for their wedding, and she never faltered on the promise that it'd top everything they'd ever done. It seemed an impossible promise to fulfill. It'd been a few months since the proposal, and every day brought a fresh surprise. The Wailord inheritance had a mind of its own, and the only constant was growth. Brie was still tiny compared to her Wailord Partner; she barely reached her knee, but other people were starting to get pretty small to her, too. Her boss had always had to crane her neck to look up at her. Now she forced Brie to sit in a specially made chair, or she'd get lost under the shadow of Brie's chest.

There was no avoiding it. They became famous.

The Giantess Ranger and her Kaiju of a Girlfriend, and everyone wanted to know where their story was going. People she'd never met would call her name in the street, and then she'd be signing autographs, often directly onto offered chests. She'd hand out some advice about handling unconventional relationships to whoever listened. Mouse would give people rides on her shoulders and completely floor people with kisses. Everyone wanted to know how their love life was going, and Brie would just grin and tell them it was better than ever.

It really was, too. The things Mouse could do with just a finger would leave even the most experienced lover a dripping mess. Brie wasn't sure she'd ever get used to it. Taking care of Mouse, in turn, was a full-body experience and messy, very messy, but to see that brilliant smile tower above her? Worth it. Every day was a new delight and a fresh discovery.

This particular day, Brie had her suspicions about. The Ranger Captain had given her a folder with her orders in it and told her to wait to open it until they were on site. Mouse was grinning like an idiot, a spring in her step causing minor tremors as they entered Wela Volcano Park. The place had been cleared out, but it was always this time of year so the Rangers could clean the area up.

She could tell from that massive smile Mouse knew precisely why they were there. Brie was pretty sure she knew why as well, and she had her own plans for that, but just for Mouse's sake, she pretended to be clueless.

"Something to share my love?" Brie raised an eyebrow at her for all the good it'd do.

"You always look so good in your uniform," Mouse nodded. "I'm just enjoying the view."

Brie didn't break eye contact with the smiling giantess as she broke the seal on her orders. She was wearing her flowing dark blue evening dress today, one of Brie's favorites, snug on Mouse's hips and fluttering below as Mouse held it in bunches and shook it, giving Brie a cool breeze to enjoy as she fished the small slip of paper out of the folder.

She read it once. Turned it over to check the back, which was empty, and then turned it over and reread it a few times. Unbelievable.

"Get married, you adorable idiots." Brie read out loud. Then, she looked up at Mouse, who looked so very proud of herself. "You've been scheming with her."

"A little," Mouse squatted to poke Brie's stomach with a giant finger. "I should get credit! It's not easy for me to do; I still haven't gotten the hang of whispering."

She was trying, but the lowest she could go was a rather sultry purr. Which was great. Brie was always happy to practice that, but it wasn't exactly quiet. Still, she wasn't getting praise for being sneaky. Brie had been doing some scheming of her own, and it turned out one of the big bags on Mouse's belt would be useful sooner than later.

"It's a long walk up to the summit of Wela," Brie said, "You sure you don't want to get married somewhere wetter?"

"Has to be there," Mouse said, going to one knee and offering her palm to Brie. "You'll see how perfect it is. Come on, hop up."

"I don't think so. If we're walking up to the top, we're doing it together."

"I'm five times your size!" Mouse gasped. "I'd have us up there in minutes!"

"You'll have to take very short steps," Brie smirked, "I want a romantic walk before your surprise. It's been a while since we've had one." Mouse pouted at this, but Brie knew the look was just for show. Brie held firm and then doubled down. "I'll carry you up if you want. I've got some of your Wailord strength."

"I want to marry a Princess, not a Pancake."

"Well then, we've got a long walk ahead of us." Brie smiled, "Let's talk as we go. It's been such a journey to get here. Let's enjoy what happened before we enjoy what's next."

---

It was a little ridiculous. Brie’s leg muscles burned from the steep ascent up the trail, while Mouse looked like she was on a leisurely stroll. For the Wailord giantess, this mountain was no more challenging than a set of stairs, her fingertips lightly brushing the tops of the trees as she walked. She bent them like they were made of straw, a casual display of power that was pretty damn sexy. Brie couldn’t keep her eyes off Mouse and her effortless ascent. That nice thick waist waving as she walked deserved some attention too, and Mouse couldn’t help but notice all of Brie’s little glances. She kept looking at Brie to see if her resolve broke, but Brie had her pride. Her shoulder was right there. Brie could step onto it and enjoy the ride to the top as she caught her breath.

But no. She was Ranger and wasn’t about to be carried to the top, no matter how soft Mouse’s arms or how comfy her chest was. Besides, she needed to slow Mouse down so she could finish telling her some of the stories she’d saved up for this very occasion.

"There was so much of it, I could barely move my arms. It was so thick." Brie said gleefully as she walked along the rocky trail. Her fiance was walking in the ravine beside her, blushing brighter than the glowing rocks that crowded her feet.

If she got any more embarrassed, she might start steaming and panic people into thinking the Volcano was waking up. But right now, they were eye to gigantic eye and Brie wasn't going to pass up the chance of embarrassing her beautiful bride-to-be. "Those poor Magikarp, they looked at it and then at me like I was some kind of strange new Pokémon.

"Brie!" Mouse was so mortified she'd covered her face with her hands, peeking out of the fingers. "I was getting towels to clean everything up, I swear!"

"I said a Vanillish had just been through the spa pool," Brie grinned, "And she'd melted a bit and had to go clean herself up."

"I don't believe this happened," Mouse groaned. "How long have you been keeping this story? This never happened. I refuse."

"So they both got in, with some very squishy noises, and you know what happened?"

"No! Don't tell me!" Mouse squealed. Her hand came down to cup Brie to try to cut her off, but Brie just clambered out from between her fingers.

"One dragged their finger through it all, took a big lick, and said, 'Well, this doesn't taste like Vanilla at all!'"

"Oh, come on!" Mouse stomped, nearly knocking Brie over as the Volcano mountainside shook. "She did not say that! This is so bad!"

"They said their skin had never been so smooth after we'd showered. They were glossy as hell."

"Awful, awful." Mouse covered her eyes. "My partner is a nightmare."

"That's not what you said when I was giving your dick the spa treatment, Ladykiller." Brie laughed. "We've got free tickets to go back. If I warn them that they'll need special pumps beforehand."

"Awful," Mouse smiled, reaching down and stroking a giant thumb over Brie's cheek. "I can't believe I love such a liar."

"All true," Brie patted the thumb. "If my life is unbelievable, it's your fault for making it so."

Mouse's smile was the biggest thing in the world, and it was all for her. "I'll take the blame. Come on, let me carry you the last little bit."

"You love having me in your arms," Brie teased, but she raised her arms to make it easier for Mouse to scoop her up. Her grip was so gentle for someone so large, and Brie wasn't ashamed to say it did feel good to be carried. To feel safe and secure atop the incredibly soft twin peaks of Mount Mouse and have a gorgeous view of Akal Island stretched out before them. Being this high up had taken some getting used to with the thumping walk of Mouse shaking her as she moved. Brie had slipped down into the ravine of Mouse's cleavage and had to be saved a few times. Not always on purpose. But up here, her Partner's arms there for support if she was needed, that big smile above and the soft squish of Wailord breasts below? There was no better way to see the world.

"Feel safe and loved," Mouse said, her breath hitching. "We're almost there. Prepare to be amazed."

Mouse had left the path and clambered up the lip of the Volcano's Caldera, crossing them over into a place almost nobody ever saw. It was the heart of Akal Island, the fiery lake that kept Wela smoking all year round. The ground up to it was solid black, and the air was so hot and dry that it felt like it was stealing the breath from Brie's lungs. Relief came from Mouse as she used Soak to do something Mouse never had any trouble doing. Getting Brie dripping wet. The water spilled off her and ran along Mouse's breasts, dropping far below to splash on the obsidian floor. It was an incredible sight, but her eyes were drawn to Mouse. Her smile had fallen, and she trembled as she nervously watched the lava lake's edge.

"This is beautiful," Brie whispered. "Don't worry. I'm impressed. I'm really impressed. I'll never see something like this again."

"No," Mouse swallowed, a colossal lump that made her chest roll as she cradled the slippery, wet Brie. "I'm not worried about you. I'm worried about ... her."

Her? Brie looked over the edge of Mouse's hand, and her eyes shot wide. Oh fuck. Oh fuck!

She was lying waist-deep in the lava, splashing her feet in it as she lay back casually over the obsidian. Her masses of pink hair were fanned around her, the thick tentacle-like braids waving as if blown by an unseen wind. Her eyes were a dazzling kaleidoscope of blues, whites, and pinks twinkling as she stroked a hand over skin almost as black as the obsidian around her. She was incredibly thin, and it wouldn't be unfair to call her lanky if not for hips that could shatter continents. Not that Brie would ever dare.

"Mouse. Mouse! That's Tapu Lele. That's one of the Guardian Spirits." Brie felt her mouth dry. She'd never met a Legendary in the flesh. Most people hadn't. The Guardian Spirits weren't just the stuff of legends. For Alola, they were *the* legends.

"Yeah. It sure is." Mouse said as she stepped across the obsidian towards her. Tapu Lele leaned back to look at them with a sly smile, raised a hand, and clicked her fingers. The whole caldera rumbled in response. Mouse stumbled to hold onto Brie as a great geyser of lava erupted into the air, the glowing liquid falling like a curtain as Tapu Lele rose from her rest. Her silhouette was barely visible through the glowing inferno, and yet, none of it splashed anywhere near Mouse and Brie. It was all show and fury, no malice.

Tapu Lele landed with her hands on her hips, the lava parting before her and the glowing curtain falling away behind her. The heat had died down, but the air was still sweltering as the Guardian Spirit floated above the ground and approached them. Brie didn't know what to say. What could you say to the closest thing to a living Goddess?

"Hello!" Mouse said, answering the question as she waved with her free hand. "Told you'd I'd bring her."

"You told me she was beautiful, but you didn't tell me she'd be so tall!" Tapu Lele giggled. "I have a soft spot for tall ladies, but you two are really abusing it."

A Legendary thought she was cute? This was too much, Brie tried to reply, but all that came out were panicked huffs. It was too overwhelming a situation.

Tapu Lele floated right up to her. Brie was inches from one of the four Guardian Spirits and was horrified that her first thought was about how tiny the Pokémon was. She could have picked her up like a doll, but instead, Brie was frozen solid as Tapu Lele cupped her cheeks in her hands, her black skin shimmering as power raced through her arms.

The cool of the ocean, the feeling of a warm sea breeze. Brie felt like a goddess for a moment; the power made her feel even taller than Mouse. Brie thought she could dip her hand through the cloud layer to dabble her fingers in the ocean and make tidal waves. She was vast, powerful, unstoppable. Her breath returned in one big rush as she felt powerful enough to move a mountain. This must be what Mouse always felt like, and Brie couldn't be happier for her Partner. It was a delight to know she felt this good. It made all the difficulties worth it.

"Better?" Tapu Lele said, "I have to kiss you if that doesn't work, and that'd really ruin the moment."

The moment? Realization hit Brie. The impossible was actually happening. "You're going to marry us."

"You think I didn't notice my island's tireless protector?" Tapu Lele smiled, unshakable confidence all packed into the slim line of her lips. "You two have done so much for me. For all of Alola. I had to fight my Sisters for this honor, you know? Do you remember that storm a week ago? That was Fini furious she didn't win."

Four Legendaries were fighting over her and Mouse. Their wedding had a meteorological impact. This was too much.

"I don't ..." Brie was so overwhelmed she had to lean back against Mouse's breast. Looking up at the bashfully grinning face of her fiance. "How did you plan this?"

"You're a hard woman to amaze. You've taken me on far too many adventures." Mouse rubbed Brie's side with a knuckle. "I hope she's very impressed at the effort I went to."

"Impressed doesn't cover it." Brie smiled, turning and kissing Mouse's knuckle. "I know you said you'd show me something I'd never seen before, but you went above and beyond."

"I hope you've got room for more wonder," Tapu Lele smiled, "Do you have your Lei? I've never officiated a wedding before, but I've been to one or two. I know you need the Lei."

"I made Brie's," Mouse said, opening a small pouch on her belt that Brie could have cut holes in and used as a coat. The stitchwork on it was all Brie's; making things for Mouse to wear made gift-giving far too easy these days. "It took forever, but I did it!"

Out of the pouch, she pulled a wreath of flowers. The Lei was a massive blue and white hibiscus chain arranged in immaculate rows. Brie had taught Mouse how to sew a month ago. Now she knew why she'd focused so hard on getting it right. It was an immaculate bit of work, genuinely impressive for someone with such large hands to make something so delicate.

"Brie." Mouse's voice was tight, and Brie could see her forcing herself not to cry, her face trembling as she offered up the Lei with two fingers. "I love you. Will you marry me?"

"Of course." Brie dipped her head so Mouse could slip the garland of flowers around her neck. They felt soft against her skin, vibrant and colorful compared to the greens of her Ranger jacket. "You're the only person woman enough for me."

"Brie," Mouse blushed, a dopey smile as she couldn't make eye contact with Tapu Lele. The Legendaries' colorful eyes were sparkling, the air around them smelling like a summer meadow, no doubt from some Move she was using. "So embarrassing."

"Don't be," Tapu Lele said, "Your love and bond is what got us all here. Be proud it's that strong."

Brie really was proud of her Partner, and Brie's tears were coming whether she wanted them to or not. She reached up, brushing Mouse's cheek with her fingers. "I mean it, I couldn't love anyone else. I was so lucky to meet you."

"And now it's time to get married," Tapu Lele said, tapping a finger on Mouse's hand. "Hold your bride. We'll do this right."

"Wait," Brie said. "We both need Lei, don't we?"

Tapu Lele shrugged, her glossy black skin shining as the glow of the Volcano's lava shimmered off her. "One is enough! You're two hearts as one, and this was a surprise. It's not fair to expect you to have made one."

"Mouse, can you give me that bag I told you to take care of?" Brie said, "The canvas one, be careful with it."

"You couldn't have, there's no way you..." Mouse faltered as she saw Brie's earnest eyes, reaching around and unclipping the bag. It was a fat thing, stuffed full and secured down with tags so no one could peek inside. Mouse offered it to her, and Brie carefully undid the tags, pulled on the drawstring, and withdrew the contents with a smile. It wasn't easy, length after length of woven flowers from all over the Alolan islands, no two alike and all woven in haphazardly into a giant messy sprawl of a Lei.

"So," Brie said as she tried to untangle it. She'd packed it neatly, but it'd still found a way to get snarled up. "There's no way I could make this myself. It'd have taken years."

"Brie," Mouse whined, her bottom lip bit as she stared at the slowly unfolding Lei. "This is too much! I'm meant to impress you today!"

"You've done that a million times," Brie said. "This is extra special, but you amaze me constantly! When you evolved, I knew it'd be difficult in places. But you've made it a joy, not just for me but for so many people."

Tapu Lele took the Lei out of Brie's hands, and a soft pink Psychic energy surrounded the Lei, untangling it effortlessly and drifting it into the air. The shadow of it was a colossal halo playing over Mouse's skin.

"This isn't just my Lei. I asked for help. So much help." Brie laughed. It'd been a monster of a project. Especially as she had to keep it secret. She'd nearly been caught so many times. "Pretty much every person we've ever met sent me parts or came to help use Moves to join it all together. The whole Ranger Office pitched in. Lacewing, the boss' Lurantis? She watched over it for a few weeks, keeping it fresh. I owe her so many drinks. If I told all the stories about it we'd be here weeks. You'll have to get it out of me bit by bit over the many, many years ahead of us."

"I can't believe you!" Mouse was crying too now, big tears dripping down her face and splashing around Brie. "All of you. Making me cry at our wedding."

"Weren't going to let me cry alone were you?" Brie laughed through her own tears. Tapu Lele gestured to send the massive Lei up and over Mouse's head, fluttering down over her neck to rest against the giant Wailord's skin.

"You are so beautiful," Brie smiled. "And everybody knows it."

"I couldn't agree more," Tapu Lele laughed. "Now, let's get you two actually married. Before you cry so much, you put out my Volcano."

The next few minutes were a blur. Tapu Lele might never have married someone before, but just like a Legendary to get everything perfect. The ceremony was simple, and Brie's heart was racing the whole time, but it was the best sort of nervous excitement. They exchanged their vows, and there was a brief but passionate kiss.

Then that was that. They were married. Nothing tangible had changed and also, somehow, everything had.

They went back in for a few more kisses. Just to make sure it was official.

"I am so happy for you," Tapu Lele clapped, the sound like thunder and making the air hum with psychic energy. "I should say I hope your marriage is blessed, but I can do better than that. It is officially blessed by me. If life ever troubles you, let me know, and I'll come to remind the offender who's in charge of reality."

"There's no trouble we can't handle together," Mouse grinned, hugging Brie tightly against her. The squish! The squish was good. "Thank you so much. I don't have the words."

"That's okay, you don't need them. I know it. I feel it," Tapu Lele grinned, floating up a little higher. "I'll leave you two alone now. Congratulations. My sisters and I will see you on your honeymoon!"

With a final flash of her sparkling eyes, Tapu Lele was gone, vanishing in a puff of pink smoke that drifted away on the hot wind.

The two of them stood there a long while. Mouse ran her fingers over Brie's back, pressing her face into the soft flowers and letting her listen through Mouse's chest to her heartbeat. Her wife's heartbeat.

Nothing had ever felt more right than this. Brie must have a grin on her face everyone would swear was inherited.

"Did she say-" Mouse said eventually.

"Yeah," Brie nodded, "I heard that too."

"They're all coming to our honeymoon to say thanks, right?" Mouse swallowed nervously. "Right?"

"I don't think that's what she meant."

"Maybe she finds us cute? She said she had a soft spot for tall ladies."

"Mouse. Wife. Ocean of my heart." Brie patted Mouse's cheek. "She wants some tall ladies to touch her soft spots. We'll need to do some training if we're going to survive this honeymoon."

"I can handle anything if I'm with you."

"Let's be sure," Brie laughed. "I arranged us a reception back down in the Park. They should be finished setting up now."

"Brie!" Mouse gasped, "I thought you didn't know this was coming."

"Oh, believe me, I didn't expect all this. I'm still plenty surprised," Brie smiled. "But I did want something on our big day I knew you wouldn't think of. So I was a little sneaky myself."

"You're forgiven because you're wonderful," Mouse smiled. "And my wife deserves a little forgiveness. You thought I wouldn't plan a reception? I'm not that bad."

"I knew you'd do that," Brie grinned, "I just needed to be sure Lacewing went to it. I don't just owe that Lurantis drinks for keeping your Lei fresh."

"Oh?" Mouse blinked, not understanding.

"She learned Growth for us. It's been a long, long time since I've had you, Mouse. Tonight, I'm going to make up for lost time."

"Oh? Oh!"

"We've got four Legendaries after us," Brie grinned, "And I want to show them they're out of their league. Our training starts tonight."

Mouse laughed a loud, bellowing thing that could shake the trees. Her anticipation had her running back down the Volcano. Brie held on fast to her, feeling every jostling vibration.

Brie knew Mouse wouldn't let her fall. They were bonded by a living

goddess, and you couldn't get more inseparable than that. As she felt her wife's strength beneath her and her power all around, she couldn't wait to find out how strong her Wailord was when they could finally see eye to eye.

They were married now. Anything was possible. A little size difference was nothing.

The Spirit Guardians wouldn't know what hit them.
