also, it seems to me almost like sugar wants to mirror what angel did as much as possible? like in a "im doing to myself what i (think) i did to you" sort of way. the 'i dont know where angel went' solidifies that for me. she'd jump from the exact same spot Angel did, if she could.

2017-05-27 21:19:04 +0000 UTCit very much seems to me like Sugar has formed a good chunk of her current motivations, and maybe even identity, out of her desire to 'repent' for what she thinks she did to Angel. around punishing herself. i wonder what panel 18, with the way lola's upper eyes look, means. there's a definite atmosphere of... melancholy, i think? it's not like the beginning of the trip where it looked like they were trying to make the most of their final days. now it seems like both parties are dragging their feet
