advance notice re: the end of drop-out
Added 2017-08-29 18:12:32 +0000 UTC
as stated previously, drop-out will be ending on a double update this thursday, on the last day of the month.
i am making this post now because i will likely be too fatigued and/or busy finishing up monthly commissions for the end of the month to do a write-up then.
although i'm not planning on taking a substantial month-long break or the like, i will not be jumping into another project of drop-out's scale immediately, so my output will not be the same.
my goals/to-do list before starting another large project will be as follows:
- redrawing the first 5 pages of drop-out and touching up other pages as needed
- coding and migrating files to my own host site/domain
- drawing various graphics for said site and a "cast page" to provide a better quick-reference for characters
- writing up transcripts for drop-out
- fleshing out and finalizing the scripts for up-to-date, fresh meat, and borderline
- constructing page buffers for all 3 of the aforementioned stories to avoid future deadline stress
- performing some art studies in areas where i feel my ability has repeatedly fallen short or my process has been too time-consuming
i'd like to be able to work these into interesting updates, but we'll have to see. for now my plans for placebo rewards are as follows:
- $5: sketch comics currently for the $15 tier moved to 5, posted weekly; continued weekly streams with occasional request streams or work streams; occasional drop-out/side comic analysis posts.
- $10: more in-depth analyses of comics involving the meta, choreography and panel construction, backstory, etc. (basically, less "what does that mean" and more "why did you make that choice as a writer/artist"); capacity to ask for specific pages or story points to be analyzed.
- $15: resuming side comics to be updated every friday.
if those don't sound appealing, please do remember to pause or end your pledge before friday. no hard feelings. thank you!
