this page is very late in the day because a time-sensitive favor i promised a friend took about... 20 more hours than i thought it would, and, yes, i very much regretted my choice to do complex shading for this scene today. humorously, i'm so tired that i typed "familial shitposting" into the title box first.

anyway. writing jason's dialog in this page, i noticed some differences between him and sugar. jason is one of the male characters who i try not to actively think about applying misogyny to their actions for realism, but when i re-read, i still analyze how much trickles into the interactions i categorize as "a good man, but a man" when speaking to female characters.
i'm not sure how much of it is just jason's personality as an adult with a fairly good childhood, sugar's gender issues and insecurity, or what, BUT, the point is it gave me the idea that doing little comparisons/analyses between characters who look like they have the same, or similar, personalities on the surface for the $10 tier when i have the time.
originally, i was just going to do short blurbs publicly (i got the idea of comparing characters a couple weeks ago) but when realizing i could cite canon and it would get lengthy, i thought it might be better for patreon. i'm still figuring out how i would want to incorporate new illustrations, if at all.
