it's a new month, and that calls for an update.

as mentioned at the beginning of last month, my current work structure is nnnnot quite sustainable, and i really felt it throughout the month. even making this today was difficult, and it's a pretty simple illustration.
more specifically, i mentioned that i'd be experimenting with break structures, and so far the most appealing option was a week off at the beginning of the month. so... that's what i'm doing. no updates of any kind for a week.

i'm assuming that i'll sleep through about 3-4 days, and then become restless and start working on things according to what i want or need to get done, which would work well enough for fresh meat and backlogged commissions to be done and ready for when updating resumes, but i'm not going to make hard promises that i'm not certain i can keep.

an entire week off seems like a lot, but i would like to emphasize that it is actually less time off than two-day weekends off every week as is customary for most full-time jobs.

that's all for now; i still want to just go back to bed and sleep more (going to do my best to not swing into oversleeping territory).
i believe this month would also be the second anniversary of this patreon's existence.
