Added 2018-08-10 06:15:49 +0000 UTCwell. this page was a doozy. it was originally going to be around 44 panels because i want this scene over with... but i guess that'll be next week.
i tried doing differing dizzy effects for panels, and not doing it for all of them, to step it away a bit from the implication that kim had been dosed with a hallucinogenic.
i still added purple to a few of them just to give myself a little artistic variety. i tend to use purple for mental aberration effects (the panel of sugar's brain zaps comes to mind) because it's how i interpret eigengrau.
here are what a few of the panels covered up/obscured by the layout look like in full:
the last 2 were another experimental attempt at portraying blinking. it didn't come out as legible on paper as it did in my head, but i think the panel above those 2 is partially to blame for that.
also... the 2 staff members in the last panel are a slow loris and a chicken. there is also a tiny hamster/bunny in the way back, but that one's barely even visible.
it'll be interesting to transcript this page... thanks for the patience.

I looove the distorted panel borders, particularly the ones where the lines curve inward

2018-08-10 17:21:19 +0000 UTCthis is amazing, god. kims exhaustion and mental state comes through so clearly with the shaky/echo panels. its not over the top hallucination, but absolutely reads as that vibrating horrible anxious brittle feeling of nowhere near enough sleep to deal with the stress heaped on you in buckets. poor kim
