sorry about the late update, folks; i literally just forgot there was supposed to be an update yesterday, but that's adhd for ya.
i hope the content makes up for it. this is the basic meat of the comic and why i wrote it-- "why cartoons" "why comics" "why not something more respectable" etc.
the first draft of this comic before i fleshed it out had dialog which probably won't be in here at all.
i wrote why i draw cartoons (and furries, for that matter) primarily, which has a lot to do with various schizophrenia symptoms. it might end up in the tail-end of the comic, if i can find a way to make it fit gracefully.
overall, outis is not open about their schizophrenia externally or internally, so their main reason for choosing such an art style would be different in a conversation. i think it absolutely contributes to their draw to it (no pun intended), but that's not the lens through which they found their rationalization.
