notice about patreon updates

i'm moving house, which i've mentioned.
long story short: tomorrow, on the 25th, i'll be updating the current running side comic, and that will be the last patreon update this month, not just for the side comic, but for sketch comics, streams, etc. there will also be no stream today. the pause might dip slightly into april, might not. i will make another post when i'm back up and running.

more detail for the curious:
the distance between where i live now and where i'm moving is 42 hours of drive time; pretty much a straight shot horizontally across the country.
originally i was planning on sticking around until passover, which is right when my lease ends, and then taking one very long sleep-shifting drive in a rental vehicle, for a prospective 2 days of moving, but... i'm not gonna do that.
i'll be picking up a rental car, putting all of our belongings in it, and driving for about 12 hours on the 28th.
at that point, we'll be dropping off that car and transferring the title of an old shitbox, repacking everything into the smaller car, and then hitting the road for another 30 hours of drive time.
we're likely going to stop somewhere to sleep after the halfway point for the night, and then get to where we need to be the following day.
altogether, that'll be a bare minimum of 4 days in transit, if absolutely nothing goes awry.
the main reason for the change in plans is my computer situation; my laptop has been on its last legs for a while now. both of the screen hinges are broken, and slight jostling makes the screen stop working entirely, so i've needed to use a desk to keep it stable. i'm not sure it's going to survive another move at all even in the gentlest of transit (i've always kept it wrapped up in a backpack strapped onto me during moves).
the drop fees for taking a rented vehicle across the country are massive, and it doesn't leave me confident that i'd be able to afford to replace it if it finally breaks during this move; this is the alternative. all our furniture is also going to be out of here on the 26th or 27th, so i would be twiddling my thumbs for half a week without a desk.
that's the long of it. the earliest i'll be back on track is on the 1st of april, but i am not much of an optimist about these things. during today and the 3 days between when i'm stopping my work on updates here and when i'm actually hitting the road, i'll be working on getting commissions done before i have to leave, and making sure there's still an update post for the first of april queued regardless of whether i'll be back online or not.
