february 2018

hello, all... it's a new month, so here is an update, although i'm not sure how to explain without oversharing or encroaching on my own privacy...

this month will be rough. march may also be rough.
i'm going to be moving out at the end of february -- the current application for an apartment is going to be submitted on saturday (tomorrow), so i'll hear back soon. that apartment isn't available until march 9th, though. the plan as of now is moving back to arizona, as i have a probable roommate there, and my wife has a couple of job options that might prevent us from needing to move out next year even if our roommate decides she'd like something different.
informing my dad of my plan to move has made him... very openly hostile. to leave it at that, dealing with spontaneous conflicts, coordinating moving plans and applying to places, combined with a lack of medications i used to have to help me stay focused, art's been a little bit of a struggle.
i'm going to do my best, though, still. this month also won't have any poll for streams, either, as for this month, i think it's best to just do request streams to give some nice personalized art to patrons who can stop by. if there aren't many requests, then i'll just be working on commissions, and might open up for requests off-stream that i can work on during them.

anyway, i'm really hoping that living independently will do well for my confidence and productivity in the months after this hard part. when i first moved in with my wife, my mental health got a lot better... the main issue was that i didn't have a job at the time, only she did. i made a huge amount of art during that period, and went a very long time without missing any updates with drop-out even after that, so that's really the only proof i have to offer that i work hard when i'm able and free to.

anyway, that's about all i have in me. if the current pace is not satisfactory, i'm trying to give notice in advance for march. thanks for the continued support, it has really meant a lot to me and figuring out how to become independent.
