here we go... second tutorial of the month. this one served as a basic reference for some objects compared to hands or other parts of the body, and an explanation of why they are that way to demonstrate extrapolating proportions in a useful manner.
i figured this would be a decent one to do... i've never seen a tutorial that addresses objects and props like this (though i'm sure they exist) and it's extremely important in comics to fill the environment.
more importantly, i think anybody can open up a 3d program like sketchup and trace for objects, but it usually feels very off to an audience. it's useful to feel in control of what kind of story you can present by not needing to avoid drawing too many props or inorganic tools.
anyway, that's all i have to say about this one! i'll probably try the character design tutorial (again) next.
