the next part of the scene will struggle to stand on its own as strongly as it would have with the scene about carmilla self-harming removed earlier, because it made the ability to still harm yourself within the facility most obvious.
it won't fall apart, though, because there were other indicators, and there will be a little wrap-up with sugar's arc. at this point i've learned to over-build because things will need to be removed and added on the fly.

anyway unfortunately i have very little to elaborate on this page. i had to obviously decide what kim would say in the final evaluation, and i wanted it to be kind of a fusion of opinions into kim's authentic decision.
i think a portion of the audience may be surprised or disappointed that she didn't take carmilla's advice and apologize, but this wouldn't have been kim talking; it would have been carmilla -- and i think that kim actually is utilizing carmilla's advice A LOT in this page. hopefully it will become more obvious over the end of the story.
the only other thing i can say is that the feedback given to kim leading up to this has weight directly correlated with how capable of leaving the ward characters demonstrated they are. the most obvious point of view in this page influencing kim's speech is that of frankie, who was very capable of leaving the ward.
this could be a useful thing to keep in mind for this scene, because it is something i kept in mind while deciding what she would say. :)
