FaD strip: kernel of truth

so, for this strip, i was actually planning on this being 1/3 of a sequence, where 2 other scenarios similar to the popcorn incident (doing something stupid -> having it solved logically very readily and effortlessly) took place, followed by a humorous conversation in the third sequence about the pattern.
the popcorn sequence ended up being like 8000 pixels tall, so i'm just not doing the other 2. it was challenging to show specific movements, but a nice challenge. sometimes it's nicer to just draw something funny instead of trying to pry into my emotional state.
popcorn absolutely does not EXPLODE like that if you lift the lid, but it does go flying everywhere, especially if the kernels are in the middle of popping. it felt very funny to exaggerate this to a mushroom cloud of popcorn, and then just a solid wall of popcorn being blasted. it was also really humorous to me personally to have a lot of sound and action effects, and then have the explosions be completely "silent."
the movie clapper was also impromptu -- i wanted some kind of time card to indicate it was later, making popcorn again, but while i was writing "take 2" i remembered the phrase itself comes from movies, so i thought the clapper would be amusing, and something i don't get to draw often.

maybe one day some of the others will get strips again but... it's called what it is for good reason imo.
