april 2021

hi everyone. it's a new month.
my surgery was rescheduled, twice, and now hopefully will happen in may. while this is good news in some ways, this is a surgery i've wanted somewhat desperately for 10 years, so it mostly sucks.
why i bring it up here is because that means my hiatus isn't going to begin in the middle of april, but, probably, the beginning of may.

fresh meat has about 4 pages left until it's over (including the one that i uploaded tonight, but still needs shading), so it will likely end close to the time i would go on hiatus anyway, if not a little early.
for the sake of making sure i have time to wrap it up without missing an update and clean up the rest of my commission queue from last year, i'll be keeping streams this month focused on fresh meat work.
if the comic is finished before the end of april, i will do some celebratory streams near the end of the month, probably answering questions and development about the characters in fresh meat, and request streams for free art for patrons, which i will post about on here.

may is technically my patreon's anniversary month. while i usually ignore it because i don't have the free time to plan something big, it would be a lot of free space for me to do something for it.
i have a list of smaller projects that i'd like to finish up before starting catharsis, so it's probable that some of the more flashy and interesting things on that list can be prioritized during may.
i don't want to make promises yet, though, because i'm not sure how fast i'm going to recover or how well i will adjust to a drawing position that doesn't pull on the incision areas.

that's all for now. sorry there isn't more happening just yet. i keep forgetting the q+a's and doodle dumps too. i've really been focusing on finishing this comic, i'm happy that it's going to finally wrap up.
