do you still think about it, page 4

first page - prev page - next page

alright. this page serves mostly as build-up between the mirror page and the next page, lest they be too close together.
for breakfast, sugar is making eggs benedict with salmon fillets replacing the english muffin, and uncured bacon. sugar is decent at cooking food. canonically, she can't eat many foods without becoming ill, so her parents taught her about foods she could eat very interactively. cooking is attached to good memories.
it might seem counterintuitive to have a depressed character cook regularly, i think everyone has the things they struggle with and the things they don't -- cooking i chose to be the latter for her. she is, at this point, very driven by what she "should" do, and eating well is a "should."
a large motivating factor was also simply that i didn't want her to eat like shit as a fat character of mine, because it would imply that she is that way from eating poorly. she will eat at least one other meal during the comic, which will also be at least respectable.

also, the kitchen i referenced from the beginning of drop-out -- it didn't have a lot of detail, but the countertop was brown, and the fridge was next to a counter running parallel to the doorway leading to the living room.
i've been trying to go out of my way to populate the living spaces more, and it looks like a completely different kitchen just because more of it is drawn this way. i'm thinking of adding some more stuff on the counter in the final version, like spices or utensils or something, even. no counter space left behind.
