short meeting with tabitha... here kim is introduced to the concept of the 72-hour hold and such.
this palette will take some work with the shading. i'm still on the fence about it, but purpleish lighting has been to indicate it's late in the day/nighttime so far, so purple it is.
this is the first look at the communal bathroom as well.

i should note, when tabitha says she's taking them to court, she's saying it in the present way, rather than the future tense way. it's more like "i've been taking them to court" instead of "i am going to take them to court." it isn't that her 3-day period expired, but a court order for an additional time period of holding expired. i'm considering different wording, but the current wording still feels more natural.

EDIT: shading is finished. i don't feel like i pulled it together well palette-wise. i should mention the lighting changes at night because the first ward i was at would dim the lights in the halls a few hours before lights out, i guess either to save power or simulate dusk. it made the halls kind of eerie later in the day.
speech bubble in the last panel was also changed to orange to match the newt's bubble color. before it was selected to agree with the palette.
