it's time for... radical acceptance! the worksheet on this page is referenced from Skills Training Manual for Treating Borderline Personality Disorder by Marsha Linhan.
originally, this scene was very different -- different characters. i worked it around to revolve more around lupe because she is so new and gets such little time. she was going to ask the staff member here if she ever gets angry, to which she would say "no, thanks to radical acceptance."
carmilla was removed from the scene because she had a lot of talking power in the previous one. she was going to be making lupe seem more hostile by tag-teaming lupe's input to antagonize the staff member. instead we have some dialogue from diana instead. always a breath of fresh air to get some background characters talking instead of focusing on the main cast...
someone mentioned on a prior page that they noticed a lot of setup going on... and it caused me to remember that setup and payoff are things that readers can be aware of, lmao. so i'm hoping this is obvious setup that will be paid off in about, i want to say, 2-3 scenes.
