i think i'm gonna keep running with it for catharsis, though -- even fresh meat had some unrealistic funny moments which were admittedly much subtler (like kim stretching out way longer than she should be, etc.). something strikes me about putting a bunch of shit that definitely never happened into a comic where the protagonist is a compulsive liar in the right way.
i have to wonder how much the less realistic gags in catharsis thus far affected idletry's inception, too, since it takes unrealistic comedy to its logical extreme.
hopefully this sequence will seem less like filler in the completed comic. it's a learning curve for me. most of these pages have reached the 8 panel maximum as i try to push it forward as much as possible.
