hi again everyone. this comic has consumed my attention span. simultaneously, it's getting harder to write now that i'm in the thick of it. the beginning and end of a story -- easy to write. the middle, which holds it all together -- less easy. it's getting there, though.
some snippets of act 1, act 2, and act 3 writing in progress here, and a bunch of random comics... reuploaded in this batch is jessie's reference because her hoodie was modified. uploaded with it is the concept art i did in my sketchbook while my neck was hurting too much to be at my computer.
also from my sketchbook: a page of jessie and shiloh mackin it. you're welcome. really, i felt that i'd need to practice kissing, because artists talk about how hard it is to draw, but it turned out to be excessively easy. i would consider a hug harder to draw, or holding hands.
the last bit is a print test i did of the colors at my local library -- it's not an industrial grade printer, but it is much more expensive than mine. cyans and magentas are washed away with extreme prejudice. i love cyan, but the magenta is the issue -- you can see pretty clearly in jessie's reference that fuchsia is a large component of her design.
i'll be trying to print color tests later of different shades of these colors to see how they come out and if any of them is preferable.
the only 2 scenes still not written for act 1 are the last 2. i just haven't felt enough clarity in my head to feel confident writing them. it'll happen, though. i've made extensive skeleton notes for one of those scenes, and a couple of them for the other.
